How to be a sponsor
Q - I would like to sponsor a child, what should I do?
A - You just need to fill out the sponsorship agreement and send it to us at: Couleurs de Chine - 5 rue Michelet - 92500 Rueil Malmaison France
Q - When we make a request to sponsor a child, do we send the cheque for 60/120/ 500/600 euros with the request?
A - Please send a cheque for the full amount with the request for sponsorship
Q - If a little girl who is sponsored leaves the school will we be informed?
A - You will be informed if your protegée leaves the school and we will give you the opportunity to sponsor another child.
Q - A would-be sponsor told me that it takes 1 month for the information about the child to arrive by post. Is this true?
A - Yes, this is the approximate time it takes to complete the paperwork.
Q - Will we have photos of the child during our sponsorship?
A - You will receive a photo on your sponsorship certificate. Sometimes we will have others during the course of the sponsorship, but not normally.
Correspondence
Q - We can write to the little girl, but what language should we write in?
A - It’s good to write in English, if possible, a short letter addressed to our Danian office. They will translate it and make sure it reaches your sponsored child. The response will be sent to you (this takes a bit of time) stamped by us.
Q - I am not able to write in English, may I write in French? And would I receive a translation of the child’s letter into French?
A - Yes the response would be in French.
Q - Would we receive the sponsor’s letter by post?
A - Yes but if you have an email address, we could save on postage costs. Please make a clear request if you wish to communicate this way, and inform us of any changes in your e-mail address.
Donations
Q - I would like to know if you accept donations of school materials (jotters, pencils) and soft toys (new, of course) as presents to be passed on to the children.
A - Unfortunately it is not possible for us to dispatch parcels in these mountainous regions, to often distant villages. But you can, for a payment of €20, request for a small parcel to be sent from our Danian office, which will be selected specially according to the age of your protegée.
