ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Members All donors are members of the association whether they sponsor a child or not. In july 2009 the association had more than 2500 sponsors and donors, of which over 1500 are in France and a large number in China (mainly expatriates); in all, 35 countries are represented. Since titles taxpayers in France to tax deductibility (deduction of 66% of the donation up to a limit of 20 % of declared income. A special arrangement has just been concluded with the King Baudoin Foundation in Brussels to process donations from Belgian sponsors thus enabling them to enjoy tax deductibility in Belgium.
Funds for sponsorships and school building are then paid to the school headteacher and to the local education services. Since the association began its work supporting the children of minorities in Guangxi, the management and promotion of sponsorships has been carried out on a volunteer basis by the members of the Council of the association, assisted by other volunteers who help out with translation of correspondence between sponsors and their children as well as school reports. Since 2005 some local staff have been hired in China to enable the association to cope with the increasing workload. 1995, Couleurs de Chine has been sending all members a quarterly newsletter providing information on the association’s activities and describing aspects of the culture of ethnic minorities.

Volunteer network The volunteer network is very active; it provides a forum where members can get together within a region. It organizes special events (such as exhibitions, concerts, lectures, information stands and other promotional activities) for the general public, schools, the media, businesses, and other community-based organizations
